New Art in the Neighborhood progamme & Inner City Transport Links

The aim of this project was to create a drawing installation for the Grand Center, St Louis, made up of the collective works of a group of young artists from the New Art in the Neighbourhood Programme. Each individual was asked to produce between 60 and 100 works as an exploration of their emotional and intellectual reactions to issues in their life -safety, trust, power, the environment and relationships. It is an interactive dialogue of text and images that pose questions and real concerns in the form of a visual poem. The complex interweaving of ideas expands into concepts beyond the simplicity of each image and requires active involvement from the viewer.
